What is “Keshet?”
Keshet (קֶשֶׁת), Hebrew for “Rainbow,” is a universal symbol for inclusivity. It also doubles as a nod to how many times I refer to everything that we are as humans as “being on a spectrum.” Neurodivergence, sexuality and gender, our relationships with food, our intersectional identities, all of which lie on a color wheel of fluid experiences as we move through our lives. It felt only fitting to use it as a symbol for my practice. We are a blend of our identities, our experiences, and ever-changing based on the light that we are in.
Additionally, the use of Hebrew ties my practice to my own Ashkenazi culture and identity, one that deeply values community and collaboration.
